Local establishment that is one of my favorite places to eat in the Rock Hill/Charlotte area. Both of their locations serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, this location is puzzlingly closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Nishie G's is a good mix of Greek and traditional southern food. They have great sides (green beans and corn for the win!), and have a diverse enough menu that everyone should be able to find something to eat. This place is very busy around lunch time.

First time in tonight and really enjoyed it. I had the burger special...loaded generously with bacon, *good* onion rings, American cheese, and half pound patty. The real start though. ...the sweet potato fries! Holy Moses! They pour something like a baklava syrup over them with cinnamon and sugar...unexpected preparation but awesome. My wife had the Philly mac and cheese. The was really digging the mac. Good service. Not open on weekends which is when we normally eat out so have to plan weeknight trips in the future. Also hear they have a good breakfast.

Went there today with some co workers for lunch, we have a certain rotation that we follow and for some reason haven't tried Nishie G's yet. WOW, what a menu, they had everything but the kitchen sink up there. After staring at it for a while, I settled on my "go to" dish for a "Greek style" restaurant. I let my co worker take the lead and we both ordered the Gyro Platter and 2 sides. I chose the fries and fried squash as my 2 sides. We sat down and the place was pretty full. Good atmosphere and the service was attentive and friendly. It seems the lady was at our table every 2 minutes asking if we wanted refills. My problem with Gyro Platters, here and at Showmars is that they just lump the meat onto a quartered pita flat and give you some tzatziki sauce on the side. When you order the Gyro sandwich they put it together with onions, tomatoes and the sauce which for some reason tastes better. Onto the Gyro....it was "OK" the meat was a bit overcooked and not seasoned well. Their tzatziki sauce was passable. The fried squash was excellent and the fries were just plain fries. All in all, I would go back and support this locally owned restaurant but order something different. I like the varied selection and the fact that it is close to the office.

You're gonna need some napkins! This place is greasy. Greasy can be a good thing...and all their greasy food is good. The gyros and onion rings make for a nice lunch with a Coke that will be refilled every time you exhale. The service is good and friendly. If you're wanting a salad (unless it's Greek), I'd look elsewhere. It is however, my understanding, that healthier options will be available in the near future. Don't get my rating wrong...Nishie G's is not bad...it just doesn't stand out from other restaurants like it. Try: The souvlaki marinated pork tenderloin

Yeah they serve the typical Greek fare from gyros to home made baklava. They also have my favorite: Southern style like grandma made. I love the cheesy macaroni, fried squash and London broil. This has been one of my favorite locale spots since college and I still come back!

Disappointment _ gyro platter chunks of dry meat-sides chosen green beans were very good but mac and cheese pedestrian. Will not go back nor recommend.

Our Neighbors go there often so I decide to check it out. Was there mid day around 2pm. The food was great, but I thought a little pricey. The service was great as well and the portions were large. I wish the lady who took our order could of thought outside the box and charged me for an extra chicken strip instead of having to order a side dish. All in All I will go back as everything was fresh and plentiful.

I was visiting my best friend and she suggested we go here for lunch during her break. I was excited when she said Fried Squash... You order at the counter, get your drink, and wait for them to bring your food to you. It felt like we waited a while, but it was worth it. The girls running the floor were awesome as well. Each time we took like 3 sips from our drinks, we had a refill. We each had a Greek Salad with chicken (which was huge) and we ordered the mac and cheese and fried squash. yummmm! The squash order is huge! we shared it and didn't even finish it. And dipping it in ranch dressing was delicious. I was also highly impressed with the mac and cheese - so melty and great. If only I lived there, I would go there again.

This is just what I needed. I was actually hoping to find a Showmar's in Rock Hill - I was already in the mood for Greek-style food - so walking in to Nishie G's put a smile on my face. So many options and everything being plated in the kitchen was looking amazing! I can't see Souvlaki on a menu and *not* get it, so I did (with fries & mac 'n cheese). Others got gyros, ham & cheese wrap, vegetable plate, etc and all the portions were adequate. I was actually worried that what I received might not be enough, but I left feeling pretty daggone satisfied! Though... there was enough room to grab a piece of baklava for the road ;c) The food was great. The service, despite being jam-packed and busy, was great. I was with a group of 6 from work and we all had our orders at the table within 10 minutes (maybe less). I can't wait to go back! I definitely want to try that fried squash...

Excellent food at excellent $$$. The best Souvlaki I have had since moving down from Philadelphia 7 years ago. Wife dragged me in to try them and best thing she's ever done, I'm in love with their food. Great service too. Hats off to the hard work you guys do!

We like Nishie's and visit at least once per month. It has something for everyone -- salads, sandwiches, burgers, gyros, chicken fingers, meat and three, mac and cheese, more more! The tea is very sweet, but unlimited. No reservations, and it gets very busy so plan to go fifteen+ minutes before the lunch/dinner crowds.
